VOLSEC Security has been awarded the ISO 9001:2008 International Standard Certification as it continues its quest to improve on quality assurance.

The company chief executive officer Reuben Chisale on Wednesday said the journey towards developing and implementing the Quality Management System began in October last year.
He said the major reasons for seeking the attainments of ISO certification were to improve operational efficiency and access to new markets.
“Quality Assurance should not be guarded like a secret, it is a good thing that can benefit everyone in the country, region and the world as a whole and should be shared selflessly,” Chisale said.
Standard Association of Zimbabwe (Saz) director-general Eve Gadzikwa said the organisation was satisfied the company had put in place measures required to assure its customers and stakeholders of their commitment to providing quality services.
“In other words, the Saz is not issuing a certificate to the Volsec Security out of pity,” Gadzikwa said.
“Rather, we are certain that, an effective quality management system has been developed and adopted by Volsec to ensure that the service expectations of customers, stakeholders and the wider Zimbabwean public are met or exceeded.”
