The musician, who commands a huge following in the country, will share the stage with local gospel musicians Munyaradzi Munodawafa, Olinda Marova, Mudiwa, Gamuchirai Magadzire, Innocent Gakaka and Diva Mafunga, among others.

One of the event organisers Pastor Mutero confirmed Lundi’s visit.

“This will be a family show that is set to unite families through praise and worship and the presence of Lundi at the concert means a lot to gospel music lovers,” he said.

“Lundi’s music inspires a lot of people and he has lots of fans in the country which means we are expecting a good turnout at the show.”

The concert promises to be a thriller as it will mark the return of popular gospel musicians Diva Mafunga and Olinda Marowa who have not been holding live shows lately.

However, the two are known for putting up sterling performances at every show.

Hip-hop gospel rapper Mudiwa will spice up the event with the self-confessed rich musician riding high on gospel chats with his album Magnet.

Masvingo-based Munyaradzi Munodawafa, who has shared the stage with Lundi on two occasions, is another figure not to be undermined as his keyboard playing skills have proved to be a people’s favourite.

Lundi last performed in the country in July 2010 at a show organised by Artisan Studios which saw the musician stealing the show. The musician has never failed to rise to the occasion.

Lundi began his career as a backing singer for the great Rebecca Malope and was noticed by producer Tshepo Nzimande.

Immediately spotting Lundi’s great potential, Tshepo set out to help Lundi launch his first ever solo album.

The South Africa Music Awards (Sama) and Kora award winning artist boasts a long and colourful musical history since the release of his first multi-platinum selling album Mphefumulo Wami.
