The victory saw Lakers taking their unbeaten record to six games with 12 points, while Highlanders remained third with nine points from six games.

Nobukhosi Ndlovu scored 27 points for Lakers, while Sibongile Mnkandla grabbed 17 points for Highlanders despite being on the losing end.

In another match, Giants thumped Stars 108-24.

Geraldine Chibonda was the toss of the day amassing a massive 42 points, while Charmaine Chirinda got 28 points.

Stars are fourth on the five-team log table with seven points from six games while Giants maintained second spot with 10 points from the same number of games.

After succumbing to their second defeat of the season in a 61-50 defeat to defending champions Unicorns in the men’s section last week, Southern Mavericks got it right this time around, beating Oilers 76-37 on Saturday.

William Muchuchuti scored 27 points, while his teammate Mthokozisi Sithole collected 11 points for Mavericks. Shadel Noble scored 19 for Oilers as he continue to shine for his underachieving team.

ZB Titans registered their second victory of the season after beating Stars 61-44 on Friday, but were off no match to Giants losing 86-28 on Saturday.

Highlanders continued with their impressive record, thumping Milton Developmental side 202-27 at BCD on Friday.

Highlanders are top of the log standings with 20 points from 10 games, while Milton have struggled in the league so far. Milton are bottom of the log table with nine points from 10 games.
