The gold miners had relinquished the position last week when they were stunned by Division Two-bound Sizani Fruits & Veg.

However, with three matches remaining to the end of the season, the fight for the 2013 Premiership ticket is still on as Bantu Rovers and ZPC Hwange are also chasing the Division One title.

How Mine have amassed 58 points from 29 matches while Bantu Rovers and ZPC Hwange are tied on 57 points from the same number of games, “Tshintsha Guluva” on position two by virtue of a superior goal difference.

Bantu Rovers missed on a chance to go atop when they were held to a goalless draw by Ntabazinduna Prison away from home on Saturday, while ZPC Hwange were inactive at the weekend.

Railstars dislodged police side Black Boots from fourth spot after they played a goalless draw with New West City at Raylton Sports Club.
