The Miss December title holder will be announced together with the November one ahead of the finals slated for Harare International Conference Centre.

Current finalists include Natasha Leigh, Lethukuthula Sibanda, Aisha Chantelle DeBeer, Chiedza Mukucha, Bianca Mpopoma, Victoria Chidarikire, Yeukai Goremuandu, Sarah Van de Ruit and Melissa Moyo.

“We are happy to announce that this year’s competition will be spiced up by several beauties who include Cynthia Qongo, current Miss Southern Africa,

Letwin Tiwaringe and Shamiso Chifokoyo who were favourites during the monthly contests,” said GTel FOZ marketing director Mike Tashaya.

He said their main aim was to showcase Zimbabwe as a tourism destination through capturing the beauty of  Zimbabweans of all colours scattered all over the world.

The competition has so far yielded entries from Zimbabweans in more than 20 countries that include Turkey, Dubai, China, Canada, UK, US, Botswana, Malawi, Cyprus and Russia, among others.

“Our partnership seeks to market Zimbabwe abroad, while raising money for the FOZ charity drive called “My Brother’s Keeper”. “The charity project is currently fundraising for the long-term funding of underprivileged Zimbabwean children,” said GTel marketing director Robert Gonye.

During the final, local musicians who include Ammara Brown, Nox, Stunner, Ex Q and Sulumani Chimbetu will provide entertainment.

Gonye added that a unique feature of the competition was its engagement with the public who voted for the monthly finalists. The public will take part in voting for the final winner.

Former FOZ winners include Michelle Gonah, Kimberly Cole and the reigning queen, Sibo Bero, who is a medical student in China.
