The musician is expected in the country on December 6 for a show at City Sports Centre the following day.

Organisers of the show yesterday announced that Capleton will grace an end-of-term gig planned for school children at Aquatic Complex. The gig will feature DJs Templeman, Dadza D, Ricky Fire, Smiley and Lady B.

Capleton is expected to grace the stage and share a few words of wisdom with the youths.

The gig will be an important platform for the youths to warm up for Capleton’s show on December 7.

It will be Capleton’s second tour of the country following his debut visit in 2010 during which he celebrated the 2011 New Year holiday with his Zimbabwean fans.

He performed at Andy Millar on December 31, 2010 and Aquatic Complex in Chitungwiza on January 1, 2011.

Red Rose Entertainment, which brought King Shango, as Capleton is popularly known, in 2010 will be hosting the Jamaican star on the upcoming tour.

Barbara Chikosi of Red Rose Entertainment said they had decided to bring back the musician to give reggae fans a good gig ahead of the festive season.

“We have a good working relationship with Capleton. He did well when he came in 2010 and he promised to come back,” said Chikosi. “We have been constantly in touch with his management and we found December 7 as the appropriate date for him to reunite with his fans here.”

King Shango will be supported by a host of local musicians and disc jockeys.

Other local musicians expected to perform at the event include Winky D, Sniper Storm, Guspy Warrior, Lady Squander, Jiggaz, and Freeman.
