In a statement yesterday, Bulawayo mayor Thaba Moyo said: “As is tradition, the Bulawayo Christmas Cheer Fund is embarking on its annual programme to fundraise for the poor during the festive season. To this end, a launch will be done tomorrow (today) targeted at the business community, industry and commerce and other stakeholders in Bulawayo.”
Last year, the city surpassed its target of $100 000 with OK Zimbabwe contributing the lion’s share.
