HARARE Gwanzura Stadium THE Tourism Night gig will explode tomorrow in celebration of the country’s major tourist attractions. Dubbed The Big Five, the concert will comprise Zimbabwean artists Alick Macheso, Oliver Mtukudzi, Sulumani Chimbetu, Baba naMai Charamba and Mbira Dzenharira. Congolese rhumba star Maison Mere, also known as “Bill Clinton”, will perform at the gig which is free of charge. By Entertainment Reporters

Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) Miss Curvy 2012 pageant will take place tonight at HICC where 20 models will take to the ramp and battle it out for the crown. High Definition Dance Group together with Baba Shupi and Taurai Mandebvu will perform.

City Sports Bar The popular bar will host a clash of youthful musicians tonight when Sniper Storm squares up with Jah Prayzah. It is likely to be a night of exciting dancehall and reggae music.

Musakanene Open Air Bar Tonight will be Friday rhumba night with host DJ Gatz plus new kid on the block DJ Calypso. Tomorrow, Tear Gas dance group will take over the stage at 6pm. On Sunday the usual dance mania weekend special will return featuring the explosive Mthwakkazi dance troupe. DJ Blush will round up the weekend entertainment with some old school tunes.

Circus Night Club Tomorrow the club will host the Spring Half Term Break for university and college students. The party will be rocking with DJ Boi Kartel, DJ Swagg Bakker and guest DJ V — hosting a rugby party led by DJ Nosh.

Kebab The official Jive Zimbabwe launch will be happening tonight at Kebab, billing a galaxy of local musicians performing on one stage. The festival will kick off with a performance by dendera kingpin Sulumani Chimbetu. Tomorrow reggae star Mannex&Mo Familee will be supported by The Judgment Yard.

On Sunday, reggae fans can make a date with Jah Prayzah. The fete will extend throughout next week with Munya Mataruse set to make an appearance on Monday, while Morgan and Tendai Dembo, supported by the Talking Guitars, will perform on Tuesday.

An Urban Grooves Night featuring Diana Samkange, Cindy, Exqwizit, Leonard Mapfumo, Stunner, Ba Shupi, Xtra Large, Shinso, Madiz and Trevor D will take place on Wednesday.

Jazz 105 Superstar Oliver Mtukudzi will tonight introduce the Tuku Quartet when he performs at the restaurant Jazz 105. He will be supported by rising female musician Jean Masters.

Megga 1 Bar Sungura fans can tonight make a date with Alick Macheso. On Sunday Macheso will wrap up his weekend shows with a performance at the Borrowdale Racecourse in the afternoon before invading Sports Diner.

Takashinga Cricket Club Takashinga Cricket Club will tonight present The explosive Reloaded Weekend party with hosts DJ Snaka, DJ Flava and guest DJ CR Boss. The party will continue tomorrow starting from 2pm till late and the weekend entertainment will close down with another session on Sunday starting from 1pm till late.

Hwenje’s Village Located in at Glen Norah B shopping centre, the venue will tonight host up-coming dendera star Douglas Chimbetu. Tomorrow he will perform at Majuru Hotel in Goromonzi.

The Basement Night Club Tonight the Reggae Rockers Friday session will be rocking with yet another sound collaboration featuring senior and legendary soundman DJ Garvey of Redemption Sound on the decks. The party will continue tomorrow from 2pm till late with the Redemption Juniors on the decks.

Holly’s Hotel Talented guitarist Progress Chipfumo and the Sounds of Motherland band will tomorrow perform at Holly’s Hotel.

Book Café The October International Jazz and World Music festival is currently in full swing and tonight the fete will see one of Italy’s foremost jazz outfit Down Time Quintet square up with sensational jazz songstress Rute Mbangwa, Hope Masike and Cynergy — featuring Bernie Bismark, Patience Musa and Ammara Brown.

Las Vegas The Budiriro bar will tonight bring Redefined Entertainment. The place is under new management and for the first time it will host a music group called Sweet Vibes. Tomorrow Progress Chipfumo will play at the venue.

Sports Diner International Tryson Chimbetu will tonight rock the Sports Diner supported by the Attacking Super Sounds, finalists at this year Chibuku Road to Fame. The group is currently rocking in several venues around town. Chimbetu will perform at Traveller Bar in Dzivarasekwa on Sunday.
