The show appears to be a continuation of the party mood that prevailed last month in the Tuku Music camp after the celebration of the icon’s 60th birthday on September 22.
Josh Hozheri, proprietor of Jazz 105, yesterday said the show would be staged to thank Tuku’s band and everyone who has supported him in celebrating his 60th birthday.
“It is a huge thank you to the people that he has worked with and, of course, we continue to celebrate the life of one of the fathers of Zimbabwean music,” said Hozheri.
The show will see Black Spirits manager Sam Mataure coming back on the drums, Strovas Shadaya on kongas, Enock Piroro playing bass guitar while Tuku will play the acoustic guitar.
Tuku will be supported by rising female musician Jean Masters who has been doing fairly well since the release of her debut album titled Africa.
Over the past month Tuku has been performing everyday at various venues including at corporate functions.
