People who attended the show surprised the young musician with a number of presents which included money.

Comedian-cum-musician Freddy “Kapfupi” Manjalima graced the event with his comical acts, leaving fans in stitches.

He came on stage expressing birthday wishes when he played two songs Musoja and Mukadzi Wasabhuku and kept the fully packed house on their toes.

Kapfupi then led Tryson in Dendera tunes and later left the stage much to the disappointment of fans. Later on, the birthday cake was shared with fans, literally giving everyone a taste of Tryson’s 25th birthday.

Speaking on the sidelines of the show, Tryson said he decided to celebrate this year’s birthday because of his success.

“At 25 I am proud to have two albums to my name, so I just thought it was worth the while to celebrate it and I am happy with the response I got from our fans,” said Tryson.

He said he was humbled by the way different musical promoters were showing confidence in him and his band.

“Even outside Harare, the way promoters are gaining confidence in us inspires me,” he said.

A local promoter Biggie Chinoperekwi said he was happy to work with the young musician.

“His life is free from controversy and he is one of the most disciplined young musicians I have worked with. He must keep that standard for the good of his career,” said Chinoperekwi.

Sungura king Alick Macheso, who has natured Tryson, yesterday said he would deliver his present to the musician, whom he said was a soldier.
