Report by Kenneth Nyangani Sports Correspondent The Lowveld-based side came into the match with tails between their legs after they lost 1-0 Iast weekend to Hippo Valley in the Sylvia Dube Memorial first round match at Chishamiso Stadium.

  Richard Kawondera was on the scoresheet twice while striker Tawanda Muyendi added the third.

  The Gishon Ntini-coached side is just two points ahead of their closest rivals and neighbours Hippo Valley, who also won 2-0 on Sunday in a derby clash against Mwenezana.With eight games before the curtain comes down, Triangle are leading the way with 55 points from 22 matches and Hippo Valley are occupying second position with 53 points from the same number of  matches. Ntini said the battle for the Premiership slot was still on, but believed that they had enough experience in their squad.

  “My players are focused and they are ready to fight all the way for promotion into the Premiership. The battle is still on, but we are confident that we are going to conquer. We have talented and experienced players who have seen it all,” he said.
