Teams that are expected to take part are Matabeleland Warriors, Old Miltonians, Western Panthers, Gweru Sports Club, Zvishavane Bulls, Matabeleland Select, Victoria Falls Old Boys, Western Bulldogs and Hwange Diggers.

Gunda died in 2007 in Marondera in a railroad accident.

The tournament was organised by his family and is the brainchild of his son Tawanda who has played for Matabeleland Warriors, Western Panthers and Old Miltonians.

The three teams: Matabeleland Warriors, Old Miltonians and Western Panthers will also be taking part in the Spar Summer Series in Harare this weekend.

They would have to divide the teams for both tournaments with probably some of their best players taking part in the Spar Series, which is a national tournament.

The teams will be divided into three pools of three teams each.

Winners of the tournament will get $200 and a trophy, while other monetary prizes were undisclosed by the organisers.

Trophies will be awarded for individual prizes. The tournament will be sponsored by Tatenda Safaris who will also provide accommodation and transport for the teams.

Some of the players expected at the tournament include Tawanda Gunda, Denham Zimbudzana and Simbarashe Gonese who turn out for Victoria Falls Old Boys. Zimbudzana was part of the Zimbabwe Under-19 team which took part in the Craven Week a couple of weeks ago.
