SHANGHAI— Andy Murray is through to the Shanghai Masters quarter-finals after a 6-2 6-2 win over Ukraine’s Alexandr Dolgopolov on Thursday.
The Scot, who received a bye in the first round and a walkover in the second, eased through his first match of the tennis tournament within an hour.
Murray, targeting his third consecutive Shanghai title, served consistently well and won five of six break points. The defending champion will face Radek Stepanek of the Czech Republic in the last eight. — BBC Sport
