POLICE in Harare yesterday said they had arrested three suspects in connection with the alleged murder of an unidentified woman outside a Kambuzuma night club on Sunday. Report by Staff Reporter

Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Tedius Chibanda told NewsDay: “We have picked up three people who were last seen with the deceased and they are assisting us with investigations.

“It is suspected that she was one of the ladies of the night. It is also said she was at a night club the night she was murdered near Kambuzuma 3 Shopping Centre. She was last seen at the shops near the Post Office, and was then later found in the early hours of Sunday morning with stab wounds.”

He said the woman had eight stab wounds in the chest, one in the stomach and one below the ribs. “It is said her trousers were found at knee level so it is suspected that she could have had problems with a client,” he said.
