Dynamos have made a passionate appeal for professionalism during their Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match against Hwange set for the Colliery this Sunday. Report by Sports Reporter
The defending champions beat Hwange 4-2 in a league match at Rufaro in April after Dynamos marshals allegedly beat up the visitors’ coaches Nation Dube and Mebelo Njekwa before the match.
The match went ahead without the pair with the Hwange technical bench manned by the manager and the medic.
Hwange filed a complaint with the PSL whose disciplinary committee adjudged that a replay must take place in addition to fining Dynamos $2 000. Dynamos then took their case to the Zifa Appeals Committee, who awarded them the three points, but found them guilty on the violence charges.
Hwange, unhappy with the verdict, have taken the case to the centre for arbitration. In the meantime, the decision of the last court of appeal stands until a final determination is made.
Now, Dynamos believe that the issue rests in the boardroom and all they expect from Hwange is professionalism.
“We will be prepared for any eventuality at the Colliery, but I suppose Hwange are a football team with football people and they will behave in a football way. That’s what we expect them to be,” said Dynamos assistant coach Tonderai Ndiraya.
“On our side, we are going there prepared. We have to prepare for anything they will throw at us, but like I said we expect them to be professional and treat us in a professional way.”

After technical manager Tennant Chilumba quit last week, Dynamos have to face the same two men, Dube and Njekwa, in their second match at the helm. The pair will handle today’s re-arranged match against Black Mambas at Morris Depot.
