The army side are leading the second-tier league with 56 points, a massive 10 ahead of second-placed Power Masters.

And with only five games still to play before the season comes to an end, Rhinos need just six points to wrap it up.

The log leaders face off with fellow army side Blue Jets at One Commando tomorrow, a match Ndega said would be decisive.

In the event that they triumph over Jets as expected, if the current form between the two sides is anything to go by, Rhinos will get promotion into the top league with another victory over ZPC Kariba at One Commando next week.

Ndega was very optimistic.

“If we win against Jets, I don’t see Kariba stopping us. We will be at home and how sweet it would be to wrap it in front of our supporters. The game against Jets will be crucial, but I believe we will win.”

DStv, who had been keeping Rhinos on their toes, faltered again last week with a draw against Jumbo to effectively surrender the title chase. The Shame Nemasango-coached side on 45 points, also gave up the second position to Power Masters, who beat JMC 1-0 to move to 46 points. Power Masters face ZPC Kariba tomorrow knowing fully well that anything short of maximum points will extinguish their slim hopes of snatching the title from Rhinos.
