British expert on creative and cultural entrepreneurship David Parrish will on Wednesday next week conduct a workshop for local arts managers and interested parties during the Intwasa Arts Festival, organisers of the festival have said.

Report by Sheryleeen Masuku Own Correspondent The director of the festival, Raisedon Baya, yesterday appealed to arts managers, artists and business to attend the workshop titled “From T-Shirts to Suits.”

  “David Parrish from the UK will be at Intwasa to conduct a workshop on creative cultural entrepreneurship. He will also present a talk on creative business entitled ‘From T-shirts to Suits’,” said Baya.

  “David describes himself as a specialist creative industries management consultant, business advisor, coach, mentor, trainer, speaker and writer, working internationally. He is also the author of the highly-acclaimed book T-Shirts and Suits.”

  Baya said, according to Parrish, his inspiration is to, “inspire and empower creative entrepreneurs – to help them become even more successful”.

 

  “Parrish refers to creative people as T-shirts and business people as suits,” Baya said.

  “In his book, T-Shirts and Suits, he describes how both the creative industry and the business sector need to combine their creative passion with the best business techniques in order to achieve business success.”
