South African songstress Bulelwa Mkutukana, popularly known as Zahara, jets into the country tonight for two shows over the weekend.

The artist is expected to touch down at the Harare International Airport at 9:35pm aboard a South African Airways flight with her 10-member band. Zahara is expected to perform at The Fusion at Borrowdale Racecourse tomorrow night and Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo on Saturday.

Hardcore World Entertainment, organisers of the show, said preparations had gone a gear up. “Everything is almost done and we have new exciting promotions on the cards,” said Tawanda Chingara, spokesperson of the organisers. “We now have four holiday tickets to be won by two lucky VIP ticket holders. Winners will get a chance to spend two days at a hotel of their choice in Kariba or Victoria Falls.”

He said the competition will see one winner from Harare and another from Bulawayo benefiting. “Only show attendees are eligible for the competition,” said Chingara.

He said organisers had arranged for a convoy that will depart from Rainbow Towers Hotel on Saturday morning for Bulawayo.

Chingara said they had a demarcated and securely guarded VVIP section that would cost $100 per head at the Harare show.

“This section is for fans that do not want to be in the hustle and bustle of the show and it is an enclosure with the benefit of having an up-close and personal experience with Zahara,” he said.

“If one prefers to be indoors where there is premium service, then this is the ticket to buy. We only have 60 all-access tickets and this is only for Harare.”

Tickets for the show are on sale at the Rainbow Towers Hotel, Premier Auto, Endaweni Restaurant in Belgravia and Fusion at the Borrowdale Racecourse.

Ordinary tickets for Harare cost $20, VIP $30 and VVIP $100, while for Bulawayo they will cost $10 and $30 for ordinary and VIP, respectively.

Local acts expected to take part at the shows include Roki, Winky D, Prudence Katomeni-Mbofana and Alexio Kawara.
