The Warriors tumbled six places down in the latest Fifa world football rankings released yesterday.

Rahman Gumbo’s men are now ranked 106 in the world and 26 in Africa.

In the previous rankings released last month, the Warriors were on position 100 in the world and 26 in Africa.

But their inactivity appears to have affected their latest ranking which has seen them taking a nosedive.

The Warriors were last involved in a competitive match in June when they beat Burundi 1-0 to advance to the third round of the 2013 African Cup of Nations qualifiers in which they will meet Angola.

Knowledge Musona scored the priceless goal after he had been accused of alleged match-fixing in the build-up to the match.

But he put that behind him to fire Zimbabwe to the next stage of the qualifiers on the away goals rule after their fixture had ended 2-2 on aggregate as the Warriors went into the match trailing 2-1 from the first leg. Since then the Warriors have not played competitive football, only taking part in the invitational tournament in Botswana last month with Gumbo fielding fringe players.
