New Dynamos signing Obadiah Tarumbwa is still to link up with his team mates as the champions bid to topple Highlanders from the summit of the Castle Premiership table.

Tarumbwa was out of the country when Dynamos registered him with the Premier Soccer League at the close of the transfer window last week.

But the Dynamos technical department is still in the dark when the player will join the club. “We are not aware when he will be available. I think you should talk to the secretary because we don’t know the position on him up to now,” said assistant coach Tonderai Ndiraya.

Team secretary Raymond Kazembe said he was in South Africa and was also not aware when the striker would join his new paymasters.

The former Highlanders striker was reported to be in South Africa at the time Dynamos registered him with the league.

Tarumbwa, 26, was a free agent after being released by Cypriot club Apop Kinyras.

He joined the club in 2009, making just 20 appearances and scoring five goals in two seasons.

Dynamos had also targeted unsettled Caps United forward Evans Gwekwerere and Monomotapa striker Kuda Musharu for the second round of the season, but the deals fell apart.

They were also told by FC Platinum in no uncertain terms that they would not be able to sign Nelson Mazivisa who is on loan at Shabanie Mine.
