LONDON — Wantaway Arsenal forward Robin van Persie (BvP) has signed a contract with Juventus, according to Fifa agent Fabio Parisi.

Parisi, who is based in Milan, claims that not only has the contract been signed, but that it has been so for some time, saying it has been “locked away” in a desk.

As well as “The Old Lady”, Manchester United and Manchester City have both been credited with an interest in the Dutchman but, according to Parisi, RVP had been set to join the Turin club for a while now.

He told Italian TV: “I think Juventus have had a signed contract with Van Persie for some time locked away in a notary’s desk.

“It is just my opinion, but I think there’s an eight-out-of- ten chance the Dutchman will join the Bianconeri.”

He added that Juventus are very ambitious and determined to do well this season after their Serie A win last season and Van Persie is seen as “the ideal addition to achieve that”. Parisi also hinted that Juve may have been considering a bid for Manchester City’s Edin Dzeko at one time, but explained: ‘“I don’t think Edin Dzeko is the right player for the Bianconeri.”

Van Persie (28) scored 37 goals for the Gunners last season.

Meanwhile, Barcelona has shown new interest in Chelsea target Neymar.

The Brazilian 19-year-old, has shown true form during his Olympic Games matches.

Chelsea were keen on a move for Neymar and the Brazil international is at the centre of a tug-of-war between Chelsea and Real Madrid, with rival managers Andre Villas-Boas and Jose Mourinho going head-to-head, intent on landing the most-sought-after young player in the world.

Now Barcelona are also joining the chase for the young gun.

BarÇa vice-president Jose Maria Bartomeu did not hold back in expressing his desire to sign the player after the Olympics.

He said: “Neymar? We would all like to see him joining after the Olympics. If he decides to come to Europe we’ll try to make it Barça.”

Barcelona sources continue to add to speculation that the Brazilian international will play next season at the Nou Camp, and it seems that the club is doing its best to bring him in as soon as possible.

But Chelsea won’t give up the fight easily despite not being willing to pay above and beyond for Neymar.
