The Harare derby between rivals Dynamos and Caps United which had been originally scheduled for Sunday has been brought forward to Saturday at Rufaro at 3pm.

Premier Soccer League chairman Kenny Ndebele confirmed the decision last night.

“The game has been set for Saturday at Rufaro. We have cleared everything with Zifa. The other issues about the national team also training there will be addressed tomorrow (today),” said Ndebele.

The Young Warriors are also using the same venue as they prepare for their second round African Youth Championship match against Angola on Sunday.

Dynamos will be looking to build on their 1-1 draw against Highlanders at Barbourfields on Sunday to rescue their fading campaign.

The Zimbabwean champions had their image battered in the continent — falling out of both the prestigious African Champions League and the second-tier Caf Confederation Cup.

On the domestic scene, they have lost twice and another stumble against Makepekepe will be a major r setback as they seek to defend their title.

But Caps United — though struggling to pick up form — are aware of the huge task at hand. The Green Machine have not defeated their rivals in a league match for the past two seasons and will be eager to regain superiority come Saturday.

Sean Connor, whose charges have lost to Highlanders and Hwange in their last two matches, has stoked the flames ahead of the encounter insisting: “Form doesn’t count in a match like this.” The Northern Irishman said on Tuesday his technical team would have headaches to pick the final team to play in the derby as each player wanted to play.

Gate charges have been pegged at $5 for the rest of ground while those who want to sit in the western bays will cough up $10.

VIP tickets cost $20.
