LONDON—Zimbabwe-born former British heavyweight champion Dereck Chisora claims that he will fight David Haye again in the future, after his defeat in five rounds earlier this month.

Haye was the fifth-round victor in a fight which attracted widespread condemnation for taking place outside the jurisdiction of the British Boxing Board of Control.

Haye, the former WBA heavyweight champion, has claimed he was only interested in continuing to box if he could face Vitali Klitschko, the WBC king, at some point in the future after having come out of retirement to take on Chisora at Upton Park.

However, Chisora — who is still without a British licence after having his taken away earlier this year — felt he had enough appeal to lure Haye back into the ring in future.

“It will be another great fight one day,” Chisora told iFilm London.

“In the future, we’re going to go separate ways and then we’ll meet up again.

“Expect to see me in the ring again soon — everyone wants to see it. Maybe two months out and then back in.”

Meanwhile unbeaten British heavyweight prospect, David Price, is keen on setting up a potential fight with Chisora.

Though a fight between Price and Chisora is not confirmed yet, promoters of both sides are trying their best to arrange it.

“A fight with Chisora would create interest and if the fans wanted to see it, I’d be happy to take part,” said Price in a recent interview with BBC.

The six-foot eight-inch giant, who holds a perfect record of winning all of his 13 professional fights, with 11 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, told the media that he was confident of beating Chisora in the ring.

“I feel I can beat anyone on my day and Dereck Chisora is no different. I’ve sparred a lot with him and we’ve had some good sessions.

“It would make a good fight, but I would be 100% confident of beating him,” Price added when asked about going head-to-head against Chisora.
