The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) yesterday advised its customers in Plumtree and Tsholotshoto to brace for interruption of power supplies over the next three days as the power utility would be carrying out maintenance work at its substations.

In a statement released yesterday, ZETDC Western Region general manager Lovemore Chinaka said areas likely to be worst affected include Mbamba, Matopos Research Centre, Whitewater, Whoolandale, Mbokodo, Eltham Park and Tsholotsho business centre, Camp Amalinda, Solusi University, Cyrene Mission, Redwood Leisure Spot, Figtree and Plumtree Border Post.

In order to carry out essential maintenance work at Plumtree substation, customers in the areas mentioned are advised that their electricity supplies will be interrupted on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 6am till 6pm, Chinaka said.

He, however, warned the residents to always be cautious as power supplies could be restored without notice.
