Preparations for the 102nd edition of the Harare Agricultural Show have reached an advanced stage, the Zimbabwe Agricultural Society (ZAS) has said.

The show will be held from August 17 to 25. ZAS marketing and events co-ordinator Prosper Mutswiri said local and foreign companies had already confirmed their participation.

At least 90% of companies have already registered. Preparations are at an advanced stage, both local and foreign companies have indicated their willingness to take part at the show, he said.

The Exhibition Park, the venue for the showcase, has 780 stands that include commercial, industrial and agricultural exhibitions.

Mutswiri said this years fair would attract new participants from India and Italy.

People should come in their numbers and there is going to be maximum mileage in terms of sales for companies, he said.

He said ZAS was working with various stakeholders including Harare City Council, Zesa Holdings and the Zimbabwe Republic Police to ensure everything was in place ahead of the show.
