Bulawayo rapper M’cReadwell “Mac” Sebata who won the online Rap Charts Show competition in May has released a single entitled Bheka Thina Jo.

The song chronicles the rap artist’s struggles in the music industry until he finally made it through the Rap Charts Show competition.

Mac told NewsDay yesterday that he has been rapping since 2006.

“I started doing rap music while I was still at school. I also used to perform at talent shows and I took the number one spot in some of them,” he said.

In the single, which is now available in Bulawayo, the artist also added another song entitled Hlokoloza.

It has a house music feel to it.

“The idea was to reach out to a wider audience. I know there are some people who like house music and therefore I added some house music flavour to the hip-hop song,” he said.

He is set to stage a performance this afternoon at the “Da Flow” Session at Cape to Cairo Bar.

“I will also present another one of my songs with a house music flavour to it as well titled It’s Going Down,” he said.

Plans are underway to shoot a video for the single early next month, he said.

Mac’s music is under the Grapevine label. He has always worked as a solo rap musician.
