Shabanie Mine will be hoping to overturn Motor Action’s dominance in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at Motor Action Sports Club today.

The Mighty Bulls have enjoyed relative superiority over the miners since 2001.

The two teams have met 14 times before and Motor Action have won nine of those encounters while Shabanie have only recorded three wins against the Mighty Bulls. They drew on two occasions.

Shabanie will be banking on their current form against Mighty Bulls to salvage a positive result away.

The asbestos miners have managed seven points from their last three matches compared to Motor Action’s four points from the same number of matches.

However, Shabanie Mine are going into the match missing three of their key players due to injuries.

Strikers Tarisai Rukanda, Pervington Zimunya and Nelson Mazivisa will sit out the game.

Shabanie coach Luke “Vahombe” Masomere confirmed the injuries.

“Yes, it’s true I will not be having my key strikers due to injuries. However, that will not be much of a problem as we have replacements who are equal to the task. I will travel with Mazivisa, but he will not play,” said Masomere.

In the absence of the three gunslingers, Shabanie Mine might be forced to deploy Caleb Masocha upfront and bank on his forcefulness to breach the Mighty Bulls rearguard.
