JOHANNESBURG — South Africa Absa Premiership side Maritzburg United has continued to strengthen their squad with the signings of Terrence Mandaza and Frank Sarfo-Gymafi.

Mandaza joins another former Dynamos player Cuthbert Malajila, who made an impressive start last season at the club.

The Team of Choice have already snapped up Delron Buckley, Mthokozisi Yende and Orlando Smeekes and have now added two further players to their side.

Zimbabwean striker Mandaza joins from Platinum Stars, whom he joined from Botswana’s Township Rollers after netting an impressive 42 goals in 33 games in the 2009/2010 season. Ghanaian youngster, Sarfo-Gymafi, meanwhile, turned down a number of reported offers to sign for Ernst Middendorp’s side.

Mandaza told the PSL: “I am really looking forward to working with coach Middendorp as I believe that he will be able to get the best out of me at Maritzburg United. I am aware that I arrived in the country with much expectation and I am yet to deliver and I am thankful for the Club to still have belief in me and I am looking to repaying the club with as many goals as I can score this season.”
