Dynamos hope to succeed against visiting Angolan side Interclube at Rufaro Stadium tomorrow, in the Caf Champions League cup. They got a boost by the return of Takesure Chinyama and Denver Mukamba.

The club’s dream is now firmly planted on the shoulders of the inspirational duo.

Chinyama arrived back in the country on Thursday evening from South Africa, after successfully undergoing medicals at Orlando Pirates.

The former Poland-based striker trained with Dynamos yesterday as the team put final touches to their preparations ahead of what promises to be a tough but winnable match.

If Chinyama’s performance during the training session is anything to go by, then coach Kalisto Pasuwa should be very optimistic of a positive result.

He looked in very high spirits as he took part in almost every drill and rattled the nets almost at will — a clear indication that he had sealed the deal at Pirates.

Chinyama refused to entertain the media yesterday.

Mukamba also jetted into the country at mid-morning yesterday. He could not make it for the team’s final training session before the match.

There were doubts over Mukamba’s availability for the match as he was reported to be having trials at Bloemfontein Celtic.

Sources yesterday revealed that the talented midfielder had signed a three- year contract with Bidvest Wits to join Warriors teammates Thomas Sweswe and Tinashe Nengomasha, who have also signed for the ambitious side.

Captain George Magariro, Milton Makopa and Ocean Mushure have fully recovered from injuries while Zambian Arthur Kaseloki, ineligible to play domestic football, is also back in the fold.

However, veteran Murape Murape, usually the team’s inspirational figure in such big games, has failed to recover from a thigh injury he sustained prior to their clash against Gunners last week. Timire Mamvura and Devon Chafa are suspended for the match. Assistant coach Tonderai Ndiraya said his team will go out for an all-out attack.

“Murape’s injury is the only grey area to our preparations. Chinyama trained today (yesterday) and is looking good. I can also confirm Denver arrived this morning (yesterday) and he told me he was ready for the match. He will join the team in camp this evening (yesterday),” said the former Dynamos midfielder.

He added: “We have almost a full-strength squad although as coaches you will never get satisfied with players or preparations for a match.

“We are not looking at losing this match. We are always positive and hopeful.”

“Our elimination from the Champions League taught us a lesson that you need to win resoundingly at home to progress to the later stages of the competition. We need to attack and score as many goals at home and look to kill them off when we go to their base. After last Sunday’s win against Gunners, the players are ready to go. They just can’t wait for the match.”

Interclube have been conducting their business quietly since their arrival in the country on Thursday night and yesterday said they will not give any comment to the media until match day. They were expected to have a feel of the match venue yesterday afternoon and today.

Ndiraya said: “We don’t know much about them except that they reached the semi-finals of the competition last year.

We have a psychological advantage of playing at home, but we don’t want to underestimate them. We will treat them the same way we treated opponents in the Champions League.”

Gate charges for the match have been pegged at $5 for the cheapest ticket while the upper grand stand and the VIP ticket will cost $10 and $20 respectively, while the VVIP is strictly by invitation.
