Mobile telephone company, Telecel Zimbabwe, has appointed Ezra Chinake as the new finance director, effective last month.

Chinake was the former finance manager. He has 16 years experience in accounts and other related business fields.

He joined Telecel’s accounts department in 1998 and has worked in different capacities within the department including as auditor and business analyst.

Chinake was promoted to finance manager in 2009, a position he held up until his latest appointment.

He holds an MBA and has diplomas and certificates in accountancy from various institutions.

The company has appointed Zodwa Chinyenze as customer operations director. Before her appointment she was a customer operations manager.

Chinyenze joined the company in 1999 as a customer care and public relations executive. She was promoted to customer operations manager in 2002.

Dzingwa Madzima, who joined Telecel in 2001, has been promoted to the position of programme management, quality and operational excellence director.

Early this year Telecel said it planned to invest $70 million to expand and upgrade its networks. It anticipates having in excess of 2, 5 million subscribers by the end of the year.
