Former Dynamos, Masvingo United and AmaZulu striker Lloyd Hlahla wants to come out of retirement.

The veteran forward, who last played for Dynamos after the expiry of his contract at the Harare giants two years ago, has expressed his desire to dust his hung soccer boots and once more have a dance with the top flight league or first division.

“I feel I still have it in my legs to carry me through on the football pitch until next season,” said the 34-year-old.

“I have started training on my own and I intend to join a local club during this upcoming July transfer window. I would prefer a Harare club that is in the top-five in the Northern Region Division One League or lowly-placed teams in the Premier League like Harare City or Black Mambas.”

Nicknamed “The Hitman”during his hey days at Masvingo United, Hlahla is currently employed by the Ministry of Education as a teacher at Tynwald Primary School in Harare.

Prior to his retirement, he had quit teaching in 2005 before making another classroom comeback at the beginning of last year.

“I would want a club that would be flexible with my work schedule and allow me to train once a day since I knock off at 3pm every day. But during school holidays I would be available all day. I have a Level two coaching certificate so if I retire at the end of next year I will go into coaching,” he said.

Hlahla was part of the 2005 Masvingo United squad that came close to lifting the league title when they finished second on the log.
