Dynamos and Warriors striker Takesure Chinyama is set to finally sign a R100 000 a month deal with South Africa’s Orlando Pirates, subject to passing a medical.

Chinyama’s move has been on ice for some weeks now owing to his commitments with the national team.

Absa Premier League giants Mamelodi Sundowns were also interested in Chinyama, but it is Pirates who look to have won the race to sign the front-man.

Sundowns could now turn to Rodreck Mutuma, in whom they had developed a keen interest recently.

“He just has to go for a medical now and if he passes, he will be a Pirates player. There is nothing from Sundowns or any other team at the moment,” said the source.

But his agent Kennedy Mapeza yesterday said that they were still looking at different offers and were yet to make a decision.

Dynamos are faced with the possibility of losing some of their key players. Denver Mukamba is expected to travel to South Africa on Sunday where he is also looking to clinch a deal in that country’s top-flight league.

While his destination could not be ascertained yesterday, NewsDay Sport was informed that former Dynamos coach Sunday Chidzambwa was keen on taking Mukamba to Black Leopards where he is coach.

Pretoria University, which was recently promoted into the top flight, was also keen on signing the speedy attacker.

Dynamos, however, are not keen on releasing him before their match at the weekend where they play Gunners at Lafarge, although they have indicated they will not stand in the player’s way if he got a deal. All that activity could affect Dynamos’ preparations for their Caf Confederation Cup where they have been paired with Angola’s Interclube, with the first leg to be played during the first weekend of next month.
