How Mine toppled former Premiership side Bantu Rovers from the top of the Zifa Southern Region Division One League after beating Ntabazinduna 1-0 at How Mine on Saturday.

Bantu Rovers were sitting at the top of the log table with 27 points from 11 games going into the match, but lost 1-0 to Power Cosmos away in Hwange on Sunday to lose the top spot.

How Mine now have 29 points from 12 games while Bantu Rovers are second with 27 points from the same number of games.

It was yet another bad outing for another former Premiership team Zimbabwe Saints, who went down 1-0 to Bulawayo Chiefs at Raylton Sports Club on Saturday.

Saints are struggling in the league and have won three games out of the 11 played and are in position 14.

Railstars collected maximum points after dismissing ZPC Hwange 1-0 in Hwange. Despite the defeat to Railstars, ZPC Hwange are third while Railstars are fourth on the log table, although both teams are tied at 22 points from 11 games.

League debutants Projects FC continued to struggle in the league and are still winless after 11 games. On Saturday, they lost 2-0 to New West City and anchor the log table with four points while New West are fifth on the log standings with 18 points from 11 matches.

Rufaro Rovers and Sizani Fruits & Veg shared the spoils drawing 1-1 in the coal mining town on Saturday; Hwange Juniors beat Mpumalanga 3-1 in Hwange while Black Boots grabbed a point after drawing 2-2 away to Tsholotsho.
