Nkulumane and Founders High Schools clash in a National Association of Secondary School Heads Bulawayo senior girls’ basketball league match at Founders tomorrow.

Founders need revenge after their Under-14 girls team lost 25-12 to Nkulumane last week and missed out on an opportunity to represent Bulawayo in the inter-provincial Basketball tournament set for Jameson High School in Kadoma later this month.

Nkulumane have experience in Brandina Muleya, formerly with Ihlathi and who was part of the Bulawayo Province Youth Games team last year. Valletta Gambiza, who plays for Southern Region Basketball League team Giants, is another player Nkulumane will be banking on.

Founders will rely on the inspiration of Bulawayo Under-16 provincial player Bridgette Gumbo. Later in the day, Founders return to action against Montrose. Montrose have another potentially explosive tie against Nkulumane.

Montrose does not have big names in the team but work as a unit. They should work hard to outclass Nkulumane who boast of players like Muleya and Gambiza.

Ihlathi clash with Northlea in another tie. Since the departure of Muleya and Percy Gwarazimba, Ihlathi have roped in new players from their Under-16 side.

St Columbus have a tough assignment against Northlea and Ihlathi in the other games lined up for the day.
