Railstars will continue their search for a Premiership return ticket when they travel to Tsholotsho tomorrow for a date with Tsholotsho FC in the Zifa Southern Region Division One football league.

Railstars sit on position five on the log table, neck-on-neck with Tsholotsho on 16 points with both teams having played nine matches.

Tsholotsho are one rung above the Railstars on the ladder by virtue of a one-goal superior goal difference with both teams eight points behind log leaders Bantu Rovers, who have played 10 matches.

Railstars coach Tirivaviri Sithole said it’s every coach’s dream to play in top-flight football and he was going to Tsholotsho for maximum points.

“We are looking forward for a win in Tsholotsho come Saturday (tomorrow). Of course we are playing under very tough economic conditions, but my motivation to the boys is they should work hard for the realisation of their careers. We are in competition and it is every coach’s ambition to play in the Premier League,” Sithole said.

Tsholotsho coach Lizwe Sweswe said his aim was to win 75% of his matches in the first half of the season.

“We approach every game with a positive mind and we hope for three points on Saturday (tomorrow). We want to win at least three-quarters of our games in the first round especially our home matches. We are definitely taking advantage that we are playing home,” Sweswe said.

Moreblessing Nyokanhete, Butholweze Ncube, Tinashe Chabwanya, Khumbulani Zwangobani and Nkosilathi Moyo are some of the players at Tsholotsho.

ZPC Hwange will be away at White City Stadium to Sizani Fruits and Veg, who are beaming with confidence after beating former Premiership side Zimbabwe Saints 2-0 last week.

How Mine — on the second spot with 23 points, one behind league leaders Bantu Rovers — look set to collect maximum points as they entertain struggling Rufaro Rovers at the gold mine tomorrow.

Tshintsha Guluva, also eyeing a return to the Premiership, host Emakhandeni Pirates at White City Stadium as Mpumalanga host New West City in Hwange.

Saints are away to police squad Black Boots in Fairbridge, as newcomers Bulawayo Chiefs entertain Power Cosmos in Plumtree. Ntabazinduna Prison are home to Projects. All matches will be played tomorrow.
