When housemates get into the Big Brother Africa (BBA) house, they enter for different reasons, but finding a partner is usually the last thing on their minds.

During the first days of the game, housemates will be trying to get to know each other better. Alliances are formed and enemies are created at that time.

As the game proceeds, some housemates find themselves attracted to fellow housemates and end up in romantic relationships while some end up as enemies.

Some of the relationships fade as soon as the housemates return to their respective homes where they would have left their partners while some BBA relationships develop further.

The last four editions of BBA have been very interesting as they have recorded a series of interesting love stories where three babies were born from housemate relationships.

A few months ago, Nigerias Kevin Chuwang, who won the 2009 Big Brother Revolution game and his wife Elizabeth Gupta from Tanzania who was also a Revolution housemate, welcomed their first born daughter, Savannah.

The couple got attracted to each other in the house and after the show, Kevin proposed to Elizabeth in 2010 and the couple eventually tied the knot on February 26 2011 at a wedding ceremony held in Abuja.

Meryl Shikwambane from Namibia and Mwisho Mwampamba from Tanzania, who met on Big Brother All Stars in 2010, fell in love and got engaged in the house, becoming the very first BBA couple to do so.

Three months ago, the couple was blessed with a baby girl.

South Africas Quinn Sieber and Mozambiques Jennifer Mussanhane, from the BBA 4 in 2010 also recently had their first baby .

Philbert Okure, who represented Uganda in Big Brother Revolution, is also expecting a baby with Liziwe Coka, the South African housemate from the same show.

Clearly, Big Brother Africa has not only made people rich and famous, it has found them lifetime companions.

This years Big Brother Stargame might produce another couple after Luke (Liberia) and Jessica (Namibia) had romance in the house.

Luke, who was evicted from the show two weeks ago, told NewsDay that he has plans to settle with Jessica after the show. Jessica is still in the house.

I bonded well with Jessica and Im planning to settle down with her after the show, he said.

There also seems to be a growing relationship between Prezzo (Kenya) and Goldie (Nigeria), but theirs is a complicated affair since Prezzo has a wife back home.

Zimbabweans have generally focused more on the game, a move which has seen them having less romantic relationships.

Munya Chidzonga though, got intimate with Botswanas Tawana Lebani when they were in the Big Brother Amplified house. The relationship never lasted.

Wendall Parson, last years representative never got involved in any relationship though a lot of the girls fancied him, including fellow Zimbabwean housemate Vimbai Mutinhiri.

Big Brother Africa 2 Zimbabwe representative, Bertha Zakeyo, had a close relationship with Kwaku while in the house and this contributed to her eviction as Kwaku was in love with another housemate Meryl.

This year, it is not yet clear if the two Zimbabwean representatives, Roki and Maneta will be involved in any relationship.

Roki though, tried his luck on Maneta, who quickly turned him down.

Now he is trying his luck on Zainab.
