A long-standing divorce dispute between a Bluff Hill couple turned nasty when the scorned woman allegedly emptied a bucket filled with water and dog waste into the bedroom where her husband and his girlfriend were sleeping.

This was after the woman, Memory Kakova (29), a mother of four, allegedly felt insulted when her husband Thomas Chimanikire brought his “small house” into their matrimonial home.

Kakova and Chimanikire have since filed divorce application papers at the civil courts and the matter is still pending.

Kakova pleaded not guilty when she appeared before Harare magistrate Gamuchirai Siwardi facing a charge of domestic violence and was remanded out of custody to June 30 for trial on $20 bail.

Prosecutor Shambadzeni Fungura presented that on May 12, Chimanikire brought his girlfriend, whose identity was not revealed in court, at house number 7 Northolt Drive in Bluff Hill where he stays with his wife.

It is alleged when the lovers locked themselves in the bedroom.

Kakova allegedly went to the bedroom window carrying a bucket filled with a mixture of water and dog waste.

She reportedly broke the window panes and poured the waste into the bedroom and broke two door handles in a fit of rage.

Chimanikire is said to have bolted out of the house and reported Kakova to the police, leading to her arrest.
