BULAWAYO — Popular South African house music disc jockey, DJ Fresh, is set to perform at Sports 747 on June 23.
Fresh is a veteran sought-after international music selector.
A spokesperson for Sports 747 told NewsDay yesterday Fresh would jet into the country on June 23 in the afternoon and perform in the evening.
“In the afternoon of June 23 he will mix and mingle with his fans at 747 and also go on a tour of the city,” he said.
Fresh, a presenter on 5FM in South Africa, will perform in the city for the first time this year having thrilled house music fans in August last year at Bar Labhala.
The spokesperson said Fresh has already been cleared for the performance at Sports 747.
“It will be an outdoor show. We will put up tents as we did last year when DJ Cndo and Kent performed. We have, however, put up a lawn now for Fresh’s performance because, as you know, there was too much dust last year when Cndo and Kent performed. This time the show will be bigger and better,” he said.
Local disc jockeys, Mendoza, Chris, Emity Smooth and Cool J will entertain showgoers before Fresh takes over.
