Zimbabwe’s finest musicians, Oliver “Tuku” Mtukudzi and Alexio Kawara will warm up the stage for the Nigerian superstar. The event which has been dubbed “Africa Day Celebrations” will also feature DJs Dee Nosh and Flevah.

National Sports Stadium Tomorrow afternoon, there will be a rare treat for music and soccer lovers as sungura musicians Alick Macheso, Peter “Dewa” Moyo and Jah Prayzah will perform at the Benjani Mwaruwari Testimonial Match. Emmanuel Adebayor, Alex Song, Austin “Jay Jay” Okocha and El Hadji Diouf, will be some of the international soccer stars to play at the match.

Gecko Gardens Popularly known as Mic Inity in the entertainment circles, Mike Madamombe will tomorrow afternoon launch his debut album titled Freedom at the Gecko Gardens.

Spillway Pub & Restaurant Oliver Mtukudzi and Alexio Kawara will join forces to entertain revellers at the Spillway Pub tomorrow afternoon.

Mutangaz Hide-Out The hide-out in Ruwa will tonight host an “Africa Day Special” with performances by Peter Moyo, Tryson Chimbetu, Apama Style and Orchestra Nhapitapi.

Musakanene Bar African Dancing Queens entertain merrymakers this afternoon at the outdoor venue along old Seke Road. Tomorrow Sounds of the Muddy Face perform at the venue.

Jazz 105 The home of jazz music will tonight host Sulumani Chimbetu’s birthday bash that will feature Allan Chimbetu and Munya Mataruse.

Borrowdale Racecourse Tomorrow afternoon there will be a “Spin Festival”, which will feature Harare’s top spinners and South Africa’s finest spinners including Sunesh and Sam Sam. There will also be a battle of the DJs featuring several selectors and the winner will walk away with $500.

Keg & Maiden Followers of the Big Brother Stargame will gather at the Keg & Maiden on Sunday evening to watch the live eviction show. One of Zimbabwe’s representatives, Maneta Mazanhi is up for eviction.

King Solomon’s Nite Club (Kwekwe) Tonight, the club will host a “Ladies Night Out” event with DJs Ash Stylz, Stavo, Bheku and Digga. Tomorrow, DJs Dee Nosh and L-Roy will host a “Black & White” party at the same venue.

BULAWAYO Large City Hall Delta Beverages will present a free show to celebrate Africa Day this afternoon under the theme “Celebrating a billion reasons to believe in Africa”. Iyasa will present a musical piece dancing to Steve Kekana’s All I Need (Is Right Here In Africa). Otis Ngwabi and the Say Band will also perform. Lots of prizes stand to be won.

Academy of Music This afternoon, at 2.30pm, the venue hosts the “Celebration of Africa Show” as part of the Bulawayo Music Festival. The show features local musicians, dance troupes, marimba bands and a string quartet. On Sunday school choirs compete in the Hallelujah Chorus gospel music competition.

Midlands Hotel & Conference Centre Sungura music maestro, Alick Macheso performs at the venue this evening. The Sounds of the Muddy Face will be the curtain- raiser for the show that starts at 7pm.

Walkers Pub The Miss Africa Day beauty pageant takes place at the venue this evening. A bevy of 12 beaus will take part. DJs Joe “Tha OG”, Emity Smooth and Lacusto will be behind the decks.

Hustlers Leisure Centre Tonight, the Big Five DJs present the “Beer Festival” hosted by DJ Mzoe. Tomorrow evening it’s “Clubbers’ Night” featuring resident DJs. On Sunday, there is the “Stockvel Party” with Lazy T and Ray Jam.

BBQ Inn Formerly Jamaica Inn, the place is being relaunched today. It is situated 20km from Bulawayo along Gwanda Road. DJ Mellow T will be playing old school music from 11am till late. Tomorrow DJ Pafee will perform at the same time.
