Mavambo/Kusile/Dawn (MKD) party has restructured its national executive in anticipation of possible elections this year.

Office bearers in key positions in the party include: Simba Makoni, interim president, Silver Bhebhe interim secretary for communications, Lizwe Bunu, interim secretary for women’s affairs and Phillip Chapfunga, interim secretary for membership mobilisation.

Tafara Chikumba is the interim secretary for social affairs, Wilson Kumbula interim secretary for administration and management, Brian Mubariki interim secretary for international relations and co-operation, Abiathar Mujeyi interim secretary for resources and Stuart Mwale, interim secretary for youth affairs.

Florence Sachikonye becomes interim secretary for economic affairs, Paul Samurembwe, interim secretary for legal affairs, Sibongile Kunaka, interim deputy secretary for administration and management, Fungai Matarise, interim deputy secretary for youth affairs and Velta Zumbika, interim deputy secretary for international relations and co-operation.

There are 12 committee members. Makoni said consultations within the party were continuing on assignment of other portfolios.
