A few weeks after launching a charity project, gospel musician Agnes “Eglada” Gudza has scored another first after being appointed brand ambassador for a local security company.

Although she has not yet made a big name on the music scene, Eglada has managed to attract appreciation from the business community through her charity projects.

In addition to launching a charity organisation, Eglada Foundation, the gospel diva launched her latest album at Rugare Orphan Care Centre where she spent a day with disadvantaged children and sourced food and entertainment for the kids over the Easter holiday.

The children got a basic goods donation from Inverto Security and meals from Chicken Slice on the day.

Seemingly touched by the gospel diva’s heart for the needy, Inverto Security chief Maxwell Ngwari has appointed Gudza brand ambassador for the security company.

The businessman has worked with a number of artists that include Dominic Benhura and Brian Mteki through his Accelerated Freight Services that has shipped several pieces by the artists.

Ngwari has also worked with Chitungwiza Art Centre, Dindingwe Art Centre, Kubatana Art Centre, Agnes Nyanhongo, Gideon Nyanhongo, Lazarus Takawira, and Lawrence Mukomberanwa amongst several other assignments related to sculpture.

Speaking at a ceremony to announce Gudza’s appointment Ngwari said her charity project had touched his heart.

“I was very impressed with Eglada for what she did for those poor orphans at Easter that I felt it would be my honour to be associated with her,” said Ngwari.

“Her good heart will exemplify the way in which we conduct business — honest, loyal and devout.”

As part of her role as brand ambassador of Inverto Security, Eglada is expected to contribute to building brand awareness, help with customer relations and head promotion of the brand directly and indirectly through her activities in gospel circles.

Inverto Security will also provide its services to the artiste during her shows apart from a monthly stipend and she will be hired for various corporate events.

“I am at a loss for words, I am very happy and I feel very privileged. God is rewarding me in ways I never thought possible,” said Gudza.

She added that Ngwari was a kind-hearted Christian and a good mentor hence she would also learn a lot from him.
