Alpha Media Holdings chief executive officer Raphael Khumalo’s mother, Sibekiwe Khumalo, was yesterday buried at Lady Stanley Cemetery in Bulawayo.

Gogo MaMhlanga (86) died at home on Saturday of suspected cardiac arrest.

Speaking at the church service in Richmond, Reverend Bruce Khumalo said Gogo MaMhlanga was loyal to God right up to the end.

“Gogo MaMhlanga was faithful to the Lord, she had prepared herself whilst with us here on earth to live forever in heaven,” he said.

“It is now up to us to prepare ourselves to meet her again and the Lord in Heaven when we also pass on.”

Gogo MaMhlanga was a pastor at the Bretheren in Christ Church.

Bulawayo Deputy Mayor Amen Mpofu said Gogo MaMhlanga was now resting in peace.

“Gogo MaMhlanga has many successful children that have high profile jobs, but she was humble enough not to boast about them,” he said.

Gogo MaMhlanga was born in Filabusi on April 2, 1926 and was the last born in a family of five children, three girls and two boys.
