HARARE Civic Centre Grounds About 15 top local artists will converge at the open space behind Rainbow Towers Hotel for Uhuru Concert, a gala to celebrate Zimbabwe’s 32nd Independence. Artists like Oliver Mtukudzi, Alick Macheso, Peter Moyo and the Charambas are expected to be part of the line-up.

The Lounge Located at the Newlands shopping centre, the Lounge will tonight host an event for the mature. DJs Robbie Tee and DJ Fresh will be playing soul classics. Dress code to the event is strictly smart.

Miami Nightclub Forgotten musician Tedius Matsito and Ngwenya Brothers of the Gede Mwana fame will tonight perform at the club in Sunningdale.

Kebab Centre Tomorrow Kebab Centre will host a “Saturday Summer Jams” party dubbed “MaRasta at Kebab/Alliance Party” in the afternoon with Judgment Yard, Legendary Sound and the Presidential Clique (Youngsen, Badman Bee, Smylie, Flevah and Etherton).

Jongwe Corner The open-air joint in Hatfield will tomorrow host a family show featuring youthful musicians Peter Moyo, Jah Prayzah and Romeo Gasa.

Red Bar Tonight the bar will host a “Red and Wild” party with DJ Dee Nosh on the decks.

Streambank Nightclub The Mbare club tonight hosts rising dendera music star Tryson Chimbetu.

Lime Bar Situated in Rolf Valley, the Lime Bar will tonight host a “Fast Forward to Friday” party with Harare’s finest DJs T-Bass and P-Styles (Bass & Styles).

Sports Diner International Allan Chimbetu continues with his campaign to introduce his son Douglas to dendera music fans and tonight they will perform at Sports Diner.

Chez Ntemba DJs Dollar Bill and Seductive Gee will entertain revelers at the international club on the upper section of the club while DJs Ben and Luckerz will be playing rhumba rhythms on the lower section.

Hwenjez Village Sulumani Chimbetu and Sister Jean will tonight perform at the bar in Glen Norah B. Their collaboration has proved popular in previous shows and they have performed at the venue several times.

Red Fox Tonight Mic Inity will perform at an event dubbed “Fire Friday with Mic Inity”. Tomorrow the “Winter Saturday BBQ” which will run during the winter season will officially be launched.

Entertainment will be provided by the Red Fox Family Sound, Kivo Santana, Swagger Daddy, Silent Soldier, Daddy Junior, among others. On Sunday there will be the usual “Mad Sunday Special” featuring the Presidential Clique, I-Randu, DJ Flevah and Etherton B.

Ligi Sports Bar Located at the Mabelreign shopping centre, the Ligi Sports Bar will tonight present the undisputable “old school” mix masters, DJs Knally and Limo Luv.

Mutangaz Hide-out (Ruwa) The joint will host Jah Prayzah tomorrow before hosting sungura maestro Alick Macheso for a family show on Sunday.

BULAWAYO Amakhosi Cultural Centre The Zimbabwean Blues, a one-man play that focuses on economic and political challenges in the country will be staged at Theatre Upstairs this evening.

Pub East 68 DJs Emity Smooth and Markvusani will team up tonight for a mixed bag selection of music at the venue situated at Leeside shopping centre. The show will start at 7pm.

FC Platinum Sports Club (Zvishavane) Tonight, DJs Given, Nyanya, Bruce and Mascon will present the “Friday Nite Live” show starting at 8pm. Manuwacho will be the MC tonight and tomorrow evening at the same time.

Uptown Night Club (Gweru) DJs Whyte, 007 and Emity Smooth will perform tomorrow evening as from 8pm.

Chakari Tarven (Sanyati) Sungura guru Nicholas Zakaria will take his saskum dance to Sanyati where he performs tomorrow night.

Liquids Bar (Masvingo) The Liquids Bar will tonight host a calypso party. Tomorrow, the venue will host a pre-party for the release of an album from Southern Delights. DJs Swiss, Ash Stylz and Krimz Beatz will be on the decks.
