The High Court of Zimbabwe has placed footwear manufacturing firm Conte Shoes under final liquidation.

In a notice to creditors, the company’s liquidator Teri Grimmel said the first meeting of creditors had been scheduled for April 25.

“Please be advised that this company has now been placed in final liquidation and claims may now be proved,” Grimmel said.

He said creditors were required to submit their claims and supporting documents at least 48 hours from the date of the first meeting.

“Please note that in order to prove a claim you are required to complete the form, attach proof of payment and attend the meeting.

“If any one of these three conditions is not met, the claim will be rejected,” he said.

On May 2, creditors will be expected to meet at the High Court. The company was once placed under provisional judicial management more than a decade ago.

At that time Cecil Madondo was appointed co-judicial manager with Rob McIndoe.
