Are there no witches in the towns and cities? Some are of the opinion that they are also found in the ghettos, but not in the affluent and leafy suburbs. Is it to do with poverty? Some young man once said that you can buy your groceries and carry the plastic bags freely in the low-density areas, but in the high-density suburbs you have to hide your groceries in a bag.

Fear of evil forces controls and enslaves mankind. Those of you that come from or have an experience of the great continent of Africa know how people are afraid to be bewitched. When people leave the rural areas to go to school, university or work in the cities it is kept a secret lest they be bewitched. Parents back home won’t tell the community where exactly their children are lest their prosperity be cut short. When a child is about to be married it is kept a secret lest witches intercept. Families really celebrate the wedding after the wedding when they are certain the witching community has failed to stop the function. When people get blessed in the cities and buy cars, they drive to their rural areas at night so that they are not seen by their “witching” neighbours. People are so afraid that they never fully enjoy their God-given prosperity. Don’t fear anymore — the Bible says there is a secret place inside God where you can hide spiritually and the devil won’t see you in the physical world.

I don’t know who said that witches are only found in the rural areas. Are there no witches in the towns and cities? Some are of the opinion that they are also found in the ghettos, but not in the affluent and leafy suburbs. Is it to do with poverty? Some young man once said that you can buy your groceries and carry the plastic bags freely in the low-density areas, but in the high-density suburbs you have to hide your grocery in a bag. I leave this to your opinion. What is unquestionable is that witches exist and have power they derive from their master, Satan. Then you want to know how and where the Christian can get protection. Do you know that some of the so-called witches did not really want to be witches, but went to spirit mediums and false prophets to get protection and received objects which have turned them into worse witches? In homes, cars, offices, handbags, etc people have objects to protect them. Don’t trust in these “gods”, they have no power, trust in God.

The Bible in Psalm 91:1 says, “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” God can protect you and keep you away from evil while you enjoy your life. All you need is to be in a relationship with Jesus. At the physical level, Satan will knock you down, but at spiritual level, Jesus is more powerful. That is why we should not wrestle with flesh and blood. The Bible records how evil spirits tore apart the sons of Sceva because they wanted to fight devils in the physical realm and with no relationship with Jesus. Acts 19:15-16 says: “And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.” The question to you is: Do you have a working relationship with Jesus? Do you know that at the natural level Goliath could have defeated David? He made the mistake of lifting the battle to the spiritual realm by invoking his gods in 1 Samuel 17:43: “And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.” David was quick to leave the battle to God in 1 Samuel 17:45: “Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.”

God has more power that Satan. Satan is not that clever after all. At one time he sensed a deliverer for Israel was to be born in Egypt, but could not locate him and went about killing every male child (Exodus 1:16). He failed to locate Jesus and began to kill all children two years and younger (Matthew 2:16). Seek God and dwell in His secret place. When Satan comes for your marriage, business, ministry and nation, seek God and stay in Him and enjoy life. You are the apple of His eye. They say fear is an acronym for false evidence appearing real. Don’t be afraid to drive what you want, own what you want, wear what you want (decent, of course), eat what you want and live where you want, you are going somewhere.

All Scripture quotations are from the King James Version of the Bible.
