Sungura musician-cum-comedian, Fred Manjalima, aka Kapfupi, left Gweru fans asking for more after putting up a splendid performance at Mkoba 6 shopping centre on Friday.

Kapfupi who played at Mkoba’ night joint of the moment, Salaco City former Mupambadzire bar, left fans demanding an encore to the popular song, Mai Nga, showing his prowess as king of comedy.

The hilarious artist did not disappoint the entertainment impoverished Gweru fans who did not have the opportunity to be graced by a big musician since the beginning of this year.

Kapfupi who was clad in his traditional street theatre attire had the support of his band Ochestra Ndozvo band members, who sweated it out to give Mkoba revellers value for their momney.

Kapfupi’s performance was also spiced by his wife Precious Kabrito, who is popularly known as Mai Nga and fans cried for more from the couple.

The song Musoja also left fans demanding encores creating a fun-filled atmosphere at Mkoba, a feat that has been missing for quite some time.

Upcoming jazz contemporary Gweru youth outfit, Deep Roots played the supporting act, but they too did not disappoint as they belted out mature tunes to the delight of fans.

Kapfupi has released five albums since entering the music business in 2006.

He recorded such albums as Uchakanga Waya (2006), Zvekuita Sei Pakuita Sei? (2007), Chocolate Yemajuru (2008), Juice Card (2010) and his latest Musoja.
