Chicken Inn have arranged two friendly matches this weekend as they intensify their preparations for the 2012 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.

The Adam Ndlovu-coached Chicken Inn will tomorrow take on Zifa Central Region Division One side Chapungu United at a venue yet to be decided. On Sunday, Chicken Inn travel to Mucheke Stadium, Masvingo, where they play relegated Masvingo United.

Ndlovu yesterday confirmed the two matches and said they were yet to confirm the venue for the friendly tie against Chapungu tomorrow.

“We are definitely travelling to Masvingo on Sunday, but we are still to confirm the venue for the match against Chapungu on Saturday.

“The match will either be played at Luveve Stadium or Gifford High School,” Ndlovu said.

Chicken Inn have already named a provisional a 30-member squad for the season, which includes Abraham Mbaiwa, Mlamuli Phakathi, Makhosi Ncube, Kudakwashe Mahachi, Sidney Linyama, Moses Jackson, Leanance Mpofu and Marshal Marime.

They have retained Herbert Dick, Felix Chindungwe, Brian Mbiriri, Guide Goddard, Danny “Deco” Phiri, Tendai Ndoro, Canaan Nkomo, Thabani Goredema, Evans Chikwaikwai, Thomas Chimenya, Daniel Zokoto and Tendai Mukambi.

They have also retained goalkeepers Liberty Chirava, Njabulo Nyoni and drafted in Elvis Chipezeze from Gweru Pirates.

Chicken have played three friendly matches, losing 1-0 to Shabanie Mine at Maglas, beat Triple B 1-0 at Pelandaba Stadium in Gwanda and overcame Hippo Valley 2-0 at the same venue last Saturday.
