Castle Lager Premier League side Buffaloes pre-season preparations for the upcoming term will come under stern test when they take on Dynamos in a friendly encounter at Sakubva Stadium on Sunday.

The Premiership returnees have in the last three weeks been engaged in preparations for the top-flight action which saw them holding Caps United to a one-all draw at Sakubva before dispatching Black Mambas 2-1 at the same venue.

Last week, they were surprised by Eastern Region Division One outfit Hippo Valley who beat them 1-0 in Chiredzi.

League champions Dynamos are expected to make up for their 1-0 defeat at the hands of Motor Action in the Bob 88 Super Cup third and fourth play-offs at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday.

The tournament saw FC Platinum winning their first piece of silverware since they were promoted into top-flight football in 2010 after beating Hwange 2-0 at the same venue. Buffaloes head coach Saul Chaminuka believed Dynamos was the barometer to measure his teams preparations.

Yes, we are going to play against Dynamos and my players are very excited to play against them. I believe it is going to be an exciting match. I urge fans in Manicaland to come in their numbers.

Dynamos is the yardstick where you measure your teams strength and they have also been playing friendlies and competitive football, Chaminuka said.

l believe this is the match we are going to measure our mentality and technicalities. The worrying thing is that we have a lot of injuries.

We have our captain (defender) Dananai Chinowawa, Kelvin Thembani (defender) Gilbert Majoni (wing-back) attacking midfielder Roy Mwenga on the list of those injured.
