GOKWE The wife of slain Gokwe MDC-T activist Moses Chokuda, who hogged the limelight last year when his body spent over a year in mortuary after his relatives refused to bury him, is now heavily pregnant following her traditional marriage to his younger brother.

Six months after the burial of Moses, who was murdered by Zanu PF activists, the family of the deceased chose his brother Jethro to marry the widowed Revai and take care of the three-year-old child left behind by Moses.

According to the father Tavengwa Chokuda, 18-year-old Jethro has now taken over his brothers family.

This is in line with our tradition and as elders we will continue to guide Jethro to ensure that his brothers family is well taken care of . . . our daughter-in-law is very happy and currently carrying a pregnancy that is around five months, said Tavengwa.
