Rewrite your introduction

People come to the arena of life through lenses of diverse philosophies and are introduced to religion and Christianity through the shade of one of the various doctrines available.

People hold opinions based on how they were introduced to life. Are you certain the birth canal that carried you to the stage of life is correct? Jesus advised Nicodemus to rewrite his introduction.

If you are a Christian are you sure your doctrine is the true Gospel of Christ? Your introduction to the podium of life affects the rest of your performance.

Your entrance to the stage of life defines your values and belief system. You may lead a skewed life the rest of your days unless and until you get the correct revelation from Christ and do the necessary changes and adjustments. You have heard first impressions count or Arnolds First cut is the deepest.

Revisit the introduction that ushered you to the belief system you hold and check if it is not holding you back from accessing and enjoying the full package on offer from life. If there is no light at the end of the tunnel then come out. Faith does not manifest itself in stupidity and foolishness, but in wisdom.

You may have to revamp and completely overhaul your belief system. Probably you go to the church you go to by chance, and even though you do not fully agree with their doctrine you have already fallen so deep into it and are not humble, honest and sincere enough to follow your conscience.

Some of you that attend cults are convinced your belief is the right one. The gospel you passionately hold on to; is it the full Gospel of Christ? The gospel should be good news, is it really bringing good to you or it is enslaving you?

Dont be quick to dismiss such issues as divine healing, prophecy, speaking in tongues, etc, before checking accuracy and authenticity in the Bible. If you perceive God and confine His power through denominational lenses you will be one of the most frustrated fellows.

Be like the Berean church in Acts 17:11, These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Consider this. You may have no problem with owning two or more pairs of shoes, but feel guilty to own five or more cars. You are comfortable with a basic handset that allows you to make and receive calls and when you see someone with a $1 500 Smartphone you think they are heading straight to hell.

You may feel offended when your uncle and his family go to Hawaii for the Christmas holiday instead of joining the clan in the rural areas. Let us look at the introduction of Jesus. The prophets had prophesied and wrote a good introduction of a great person.

His Father introduced Him well as a good person in Matthew 3:17, And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. He knew from the outset what His portion was. As He stepped on the scene, He went straight to walk in dominion.

However, the Jews saw Jesus as a common person, a mere son of Joseph. His introduction was too powerful to be believable for men of flesh, the reason why Jews are still waiting for the Messiah. Etymologically from its Latin origin introduction connotes being brought in to lead.

Are you leading or you are holding the tail and chasing the wind? Your entrance was supposed to be announced with impression and recommended for a leading role. If not then you have to rewrite your introduction and redefine the philosophy of your life as a master not a slave. Your introduction holds the leading role of your philosophy.

In Africa we have a crisis because slave trade and colonialism introduced us as second-class citizens. We were not responsible for writing our own introduction; we have to recalibrate the trajectory of our lives.

This is the reason why across the motherland many nations had to redo their constitutions. However, care and soberness have to prevail so that we dont define our future from the past, but rather define our future from the future.

Remember our ancestors were there before slave trade and colonisation. Whether you are a Christian, atheist or politician you need to sit down and question your belief system. I have met people who are so stifff-necked and big-headed that they would rather die than humbling themselves and choose life.

Rewrite your introduction the way you want the story to progress and end. Some of you have good introductions, but you fell off track. Revisit the starting point.

Remember you are going somewhere.
